Update on Woodland Playground
02
Councillors are delighted to share some wonderful news.
We have now reached our target for the new play equipment at Woodland Playpark, and are still raising further funds to allow the existing play equipment and paths to be improved.
Councillors wish to give special thanks to the following who have made this possible, and to all those who attended the fundraising events.

Woodland Parish Council are in the process of trying to upgrade the playgound in the village. Councillor Maggie Timms produced a questionnaire for parents, the local Mum's and Toddlers group and other users of the park. Councillors Deborah Snowdon and Janet Gardner consulted with Woodland Primary School and were given several drawings by local children of what they would like to see in the playground. A picture emerged of what was wanted and needed, for children in the age group 5 to 12 years, and a multi-activity play unit was chosen, such as the one shown above. Applications for funding are underway and it is important that we show support for this much needed asset for the village. If you are in favour of this project please email annalisa.ward2@durham.gov.uk as demonstrated public support is vital to the success of this project.
